She's a lot more powerful, with her tricks and magical written powers, when she can hide behind it all.
Yeah, it's been a week. A long, crazy, stressful, tear-inducing, giggle-worthy (in some aspects), week. Mostly me wanting to rip out people's hair (not my own, they all cause me enough pain).
Yet, in that week, I've managed to write 15,000 words. I fell behind during two of those days, because I had a bad case of writer's block/wtf-I-don't-know-where-they-should-go-next.
I will be about 4,000 words off my major goal tomorrow, since I'm going to the City to relax with my roommate and suitemate(s). But I have the 1,667 word goal met for tomorrow already. As long as I don't fall below that, I should be fine. And next Saturday/Sunday/Wednesday/Thanksgiving Break should all offer some more time to write, to get me ahead of that mark. I have to, since I only have 28 days of writing. Stupid concerts (just kidding, love to dem fawl oot boiz and anberlin <3)
So, Kaya and Aedan have escaped the fortress, due to a series of fortunate (at least to them) events. They are on their own for the first time in years. Actually, the first time ever. They were at least fed, clothed, etc at the fortress. But now they are out and about, discovering new things (and informing me of such, like how Aedan is apparently a pyromaniac). But they won't be on their own for long! *dun dun DUUNNNN*
I can't wait to write in the next character. I'm still up in the air if Reveyn will be nice or somewhat distanced, like a reluctant motherly figure. I guess we will see when the time comes!
I'm getting excited to see where this novel takes me, since I am 20,055 words in, 40% done, so that I have plenty of space to develop everything. There are only, maybe, three scenes more that I've been imaging for all these years, and added to the ten or so that have been popping into my head... That still leaves a lot of room for the novel to do it's own thing. Here's hoping "it's own thing" is something I can agree with.
It is far past my bedtime now, so I will be off to dream of new things to write about (my muse likes to give me tasty morsels of inspiration right before I doze off or when I can't possible write them down. I think she likes to tease too much).

So Here We Are, On Another Battlefield
Are we on the same side or are we opponents? I can never tell.
I hit 5,000 words yesterday afternoon, and I just finished word number 8,238 a few minutes ago. It feels good to be writing so much. And I have some good parts coming up, a scene that is 4 ish years in the making, so I'm excited to write it. I'll be off to get some food first, then maybe get another thousand words in tonight? That would be awesome.
I might also call it a night and read for Shakespeare or play Phoenix Wright 3 instead. But we'll leave that until after my late dinner (:
I like when random bits from past writing jump into my head. It proves that there is something substantial to them, something lasting. Yay!
So, here's a belated character introduction: Kaya Candra. She's about 19 Earth years old, approximately five feet, five or six inches tall, about one hundred and thirty to forty pounds. S She's a slave at Arogra Fimal's fortress. She has auburn ish hair - think of it as the color of the crust of a freshly baked loaf of bread. Her eyes... Well, I haven't decided that yet. They might be a stormy gray blue. That seems to be what is jumping out.
Her best friend is Aedan Volos, a fifteen year old male who is already taller and bigger than her. I think he's about five feet, sixish inches tall, that seems to be about right. Not too much taller, but taller, and likes to tease Kaya about it. He's maybe, one hundred and fifty pounds, pretty skinny but he has muscles on his arms from manual labor.
I can do their personalities later. This is just me talking it all out, anyway.
And Kaya likes to argue with me that her name should be Tremmy. See, that was her original name, all those years ago when I started writing, but she's changed, the story's changed, and her name has changed. She might win out in the end, with it becoming a nickname or some special name or something. Who knows. This lass is stubborn.
I should do something productive now. Like eat. I'll be back eventually though, I promise ;)
Love and Peace

My tired eyes make the City look pretty, my tired eyes make the City sparkle...
I've decided that if I ever in my life meet the Backstreet Boys, I might cry. Like, totally break down like the teenie that lives deep inside me. Is that a bad thing?
Or is it a bad thing that I was thinking of that instead of writing?
I am wording padding sooooo soooooooooo much in my novel. It is not even funny. I am going to have to edit half the novel out at the end or something, ahaha.
I would give you a run down of Kaya, the MC, but I'm way too sleepy. It's 0142 on Day Three of Doom, and I have 4,191 words. I'm changing my daily goal of 1700 words to 2000 words, approximately. That means I'll be done in 25 days. And I'll aim for more on weekends, days I have real time to write. And for Thanksgiving Break, yesssss.
I have to be done two days early, because I have Fall Out Boy on the 29th, and Anberlin on the 30th. Along with that, I have various other little night trips and day plans... But I think I can still do it. I'll just focus on school work during breaks between classes. Plus, I have about two or three weeks soon where my Nordic professor will be out of the country. Which adds an hour to my day! Then I can alternate between my paper and my novel....
Oh, idea! My professor said he would let us ask for extensions. Maybe I will so that I can focus... Naw, the latest day I can pick is December 5th, which doesn't really help at all. Oh well, nice try.
So I'm aiming for 10,000 words by the end of the weekend. Here's hoping!
Bedtime now, though. I have 6 pages, and I need to be up in 6 hours for an archery tournament. Wow, wouldn't it be amazing if I could start getting an hour of sleep for every page I have? Then I'd sleep through the month, oops...
Love and peace!

Starting NaNoWriMo
Hey Guys and Gals!
Welcome to the very first blog by moi! I'll be keeping this up for writing, along with my MySpace. But this one can be totally dedicated to poetry, fiction, and the (horrible) (fabulous) process of writing said works.
I'm currently using this to procrastinate from writing my NaNoWriMo, actually. Go figure. What is NaNoWriMo, you might ask? National Novel Writing Month. You can click here to check it all out.
Basically, I have 30 days to write 50,000 words of a novel. It doesn't need to be perfect. It doesn't need to be touched by my typically over-critical editing. It just needs to words. Written somewhat coherently. And I'm gonna do it!
I was at 2004 words as of 2 o' clock this morning. I now have 2044 words. Now I'll be off to write more. I'll give a plotline, character list, etc, etc later. Now it's time to use my words for my novel!
Peace and Love.
